St. Paul Christian Child Care Center is a ministry of St. Paul United Methodist Church. It is our desire to provide a safe Christian environment where young children are encouraged to grow and develop spiritually, emotionally, cognitively, socially, and physically. We offer education opportunities that enhance growth and development through hands-on, age-appropriate activities and experiences. We strive to provide an atmosphere where parents can leave their children knowing they will be loved and well taken care of in their absence. This ministry of St. Paul United Methodist Church desires to minister to the needs of the whole child regardless of race, ethnicity, or economic background.
In keeping with our philosophical belief in the education of the “whole child”, our curriculum combines informal experience with learning. The teacher’s role is nurturer and facilitator. The curriculum is both “content-oriented” and developed around themes which provide opportunities for the children to learn about God’s world and how to live in it. We maintain that young children thrive in an atmosphere that is caring, stimulating and personal.
We have three different programs at Saint Paul Children's Learning Center.
The learning center uses the A Beka curriculum. It is a phonics-based learning curriculum from Pensacola Christian College. We also use the Cokesbury Bible Curriculum.
