Children's Learning Center

Our Mission
The purpose of Saint Paul Children's Learning Center is to extend the ministry and help accomplish the purpose of Saint Paul United Methodist Church. We provide care, education and resources according to Luke 2:52… mentally, physically, spiritually and socially. This is accomplished by providing developmentally appropriate activities, experience and guidance, and by providing a program of supportive Christian ministry and outreach to families of the children enrolled.

Our Objective
In keeping with our philosophical belief in the education of the “whole child”, our curriculum combines informal experience with learning. The teacher’s role is nurturer and facilitator. The curriculum is both “content-oriented” and developed around themes which provide opportunities for the children to learn about God’s world and how to live in it. We maintain that young children thrive in an atmosphere that is caring, stimulating and personal.

Programs Available
We have three different programs at Saint Paul Children's Learning Center.

  1. We have a Mothers Morning Out program which is from 8:00am to 12:00pm Monday thru Friday.
  2. We have a full day program. The full day program is from 6:45am to 6:00pm Monday thru Friday.
  3. After school / Summer camp program. This program is for school age children. We pick children up from 6 different schools during the school year. During the summer we have a camp for the school age children. The teacher plans 2 field trips a week. She has fun learning activities planned each week.

Curriculum
The learning center uses the A Beka curriculum. It is a phonics based learning curriculum from Pensacola Christian College. We also use the Cokesbury Bible Curriculum.
